So today I went to fly and my iPad would not connect to the controller. It had happened once before but after a reset it worked fine. This time I was not so lucky. After trying a dozen different options I figured out my USB port crapped out. I spoke with DJI support and they confirmed my fear. I have to send my controller in for repair. I am pretty happy I have another controller but now that just leaves me with the one for a few weeks. Be careful with your USB ports and the wire. I always had mine wrapped around the metal bar so I never moved it around. I don't know if it got nudged or just had a bad connection internally. I know one other member had a similar issue so be on the look out.
