This has been covered many, many times before - please use the search function on the forum and you will gather a lot of information regarding travelling with the Inspire.
In answer to your question - yes you can check the controller but not the loose batteries.
Please check with your airline/TSA for full details.

Even if you check in and get through check in procedure if security says "No" then you will not be travelling with your batteries!
