Raw footage, unedited, as in color correction and I only saw this once I had finished the shoot and loaded it onto my computer. Any ideas as to the cause? Color changes come in at about 32 seconds. Never seen such a sunset since. This was filmed in December 2014.

Answer to the color changes I have discovered is Aurora Australis. A similar colorful night sky was broadcast on New Zealand's news channels in March this year, which I saw after I posted this.

Auto white balance. You should set it manually in such conditions.

That, or the other possibility was the sky was pulsating.
