Why are there 2 USB ports on the Inspire?

If firmware updates are done via the SD card placed in the camera and the USB on the camera used to rip images off the SD card, what on earth is the USB on the tail for? Surely this port must be the more logical choice for firmware upgrades such as the Phantom uses? Loading the firmware onto a card then plugging that into the camera seems pretty backward, I'm sure there's a logical reason for it and would love to know what it is.

Convenience of not needing a PC to update, everything is upgradeable in the field through this.

The USB in the tail will give direct access to the FC, currently only used to download the detailed logs.

As mentioned, as also stated... Future upgrades, and the tail USB is for (FC) flight controller logs..
