Winter sun rise over Drax Power Station.

I have been planning this particular shot for a few weeks and just needed the right weather conditions and a place to take off from which all came together on the 30th Dec 2016 at 07.35hrs. There is a video of this on our web site Sky Captain Aerial Imaging.
Taken with Inspire1 ProV2 Black. X5 camera with stock DJI lens. With minor post pro work in Lightroom.

It's certainly not nuclear.

It's not coal but bio fuel. Gets shipped in from USA (non smoke wood chip) I see the trains pass my home many times each day.

The steam is coming from the cooling towers, all they are there for is to cool the water used to condense steam from the turbines, All the smoke from the boilers goes out of the one stack......
