    Fail safe and RTH?

So out of curiosity, why not? If it is relevant to both threads, isn't that appropriate?

    Reliable?

Nice, thanks. For your T3i, do you use a separate controller? Can't wait to see what you will do with higher tech stuff, like the Inspire. Which is a whole other issue. So many people out there need to get the latest and greatest gear, (drones, cameras, etc.) but they haven't yet taken even...

    Reliable?

Great footage!!! Good work there. THAT's the way to do it. What did you use for your time-lapse, and what were the settings? Also, what quad(s) and cameras did you use? Many thanks!

is a drone a aircraft or can you shoot it down??

I'm not a lawyer, and none of this should be construed as legal advice, but I can tell you there is an extremely high possibility the drone owner and/or operator would be named in a lawsuit if anything of that nature happened. Of course it wouldn't be their fault, or make sense, but that's not...

    Altitude Limit on Inspire

I typically fly my P2 above 5k feet, as I live on the Front Range (in CO). Whenever I fly at sea level, I get much better flight time, performance, etc.

    Altitude Limit on Inspire

At least for me, that's a strong argument for the Phantom 3 over the Inspire: It would easier to hike to the top (or halfway up) with the P3

    Altitude Limit on Inspire

. . . and I ask because I like to fly in places that have a huge range of elevation in a short distance. 500m is very limiting if the landscape changes 800m in a half-mile.

    Altitude Limit on Inspire

Yep, thanks. Do you know if the Phantom 3 has the same limit?

    Altitude Limit on Inspire

Got it. I read some wrong information previously, thanks.

    Altitude Limit on Inspire

If I understand correctly, the Inspire has a fixed altitude limit of 400'. What happens if you launch next to a 420' hill, and you want to fly over it? Maybe I've misunderstood, because that doesn't make much sense to me. What is the story here?

She almost flew into my house, with no stick input!

. . . and this shows both Navstar and Glonass

Have you seen this site that reports all satellites in your area? http://satpredictor.navcomtech.com/

    Drone legislation coming soon

Those are beautiful places! They would be awesome to video with the Inspire, but you would be risking fines. I was very surprised to find that in Australia there is no National (or any other kind) Park restriction (except where it applies to people) when I was there in December.

    Drone legislation coming soon

I agree, most likely not lethal, in fact the chance of that is quite small. However, I believe there is that chance, and the far greater chance for serious injury. I think we all know we need to be really careful when flying around/over people.
