in general the side that has the current is femaile plug as it can shorten harder i.e only when you put a wire in to do that. - that is one of the reasons-

but it is also a safety thing. i would and also have femaile plugs on the batteries. when you check the dji batteries you can also see/notice that they have no contacts sticking out.

Interesting. I don't think I've seen that version of the saddle holder yet. Nice to see some up close pictures on their website on how it connects to the Inspire. Looks like it wouldn't be too time consuming to remove it after flying in order to put your Inspire back into its case for transport. I'm still waiting for someone to make a nice battery holder like these for a single battery setup.

For the Dean's connectors, I would agree with you due to the male end sticking out the prongs. Too easy to short. Doesn't matter for XT connections. I have the male connectors on all of my batteries since all the parallel charging boards have the female end for XT connectors.

i use xt 60 and 90 on the bigger ones. i also have paralell charging boards and mine have male connections... all my battery connectors are femaile
in general is what i said and is also commonly used as we are in the automotive wire harness industry everthing with current has femaile connections.

26min to 14%. Not bad !! This setup does 27-29 easy !! 30 min might be its max !! Works for me !!
2 x custom 2200mah 20c 6S in parallel. Connected to bird via bird side mod. Aero 3D x5 battery plate!

Aux batteries were at 13% main battery was at 14% so they are discharging quite evenly !!

Sorry I should have made that clear ! This is with the x3 camera but I have the v2 so I was told by Neil at aero 3D I will need the x5 mount, since the x3 and x5 now share the same damper bracket.

It's probably not the best time in the world but from my 18-20 min stock max flights I was getting before, it's a very nice change !!

Well .. Happy to report ... My batteries are working beauty !! Another test done and dusted !! 100% - 28% = 22 min !!! HD is reporting / estimating 31.78 min !! Niceeee !!!!

Mine us also x5r but think a different model, fix to much backwards, bad for CG.

Raphael, that bracket is designed to be mounted in a more forward position, centered in the battery cage.

what is your dual battery?

I use Thunder Power regular and LiHV. 2700mah 25C 6S or 3300's are good with an X3.

A single Multistar 5300 or 6600 6S LiHV are also good choices for an X3.

For X5/R use a lighter barrier like an 1800
