Crystalsky not updating with controller to x7

Hi guys, I’m new here. Just bought the the larger crystalsky and he keeps prompting me for an update-so I keep plugging in the mini cable to usb and turning on (up) the switch but the update icon won’t chamge. How do I update this thing? Is there an alternative way?
