Does anyone know if the TB47 and TB48 can be repaired anywhere in the U.K.? One with a cell down and the other having overheated during discharge. Tried everything to reset them but no joy.
Cheers. Nigel.

I don't think you will get any company to touch individual cell replacement (not in the UK anyway).
Sounds like time to retire those packs to me........

Thanks Ed. Sounds like you could fix them. Will send you the dead cell one if you tell me how to sort out the overheated one. A good deal maybe.?
Cheers. Nigel.

Lol - depends how handy you are with a soldering iron. :p
A cell can be replaced (assuming you have a donor pack to take one from)
In theory, you could fix both packs with two cells. The problem with heavily discharged packs is you don't really know how weak the other cells in the pack are now.
I tend to treat my packs with caution and if anything isn't right, I ditch them.
Sounds expensive but it's like tyres on your car - they're the only thing keeping you on the road and your packs are the only thing keeping your powered and airborne. Why risk it.

Cheers for that. Good point. Will take your advise. Big mystery Is why they went kerput in storage as stored as per book. Only thing I didn't take into account was damp so guess this was the culprit.
