Hello IPs
I'm new to the forum and about to get into a new or used Inspire after selling off my P3P.
I have a question regarding the Inspire 1 Pro with Zenmuse x5 camera:
Is the the 'Pro' x5 a "V 2.0", or did DJI make a Pro version in the older V 1's?
I see a lot of ads that read; "Inspire 1 Pro x5" (they don't specify which version)
Also, What's the Black Edition? Is DJI really charging almost $700 for just the color?!?
Any answers are greatly appreciated and thanks ahead of time.
Cheers!

From my knowledge and research before I got my pro x5, the pros are a version 2 aircraft. One quick give away is the higher landing gear that only came with v2 as the x5 camera is bigger and needs more space to fit under aircraft.

And yes the black is just the paint. Everything is blacked out. I couldn't find any information that makes the regular vs the black different besides the colour scheme.

Thanks Bruno28. That info pretty much jibes with what I've been finding on the web.
I read that the props are different too, but it's hard to see that in some photos.

Let me know if you need photos of specific parts.
The motors are bigger on the v2 to accommodate the heavier x5 camera. So that will be different and also the prop quick release is different from v1.

The original V1 motors are perfectly capable to carry the X5 camera as well. Many V1's have been upgraded to Pro only by adding the gimbal mounting plate and X5. The V2 motors were simply a new version and all I1's got them after the introduction. They provide only marginal better ratio and it's even not worth to upgrade. DJI just switched to an alternative supplier for some parts for reasons only they know. Coincidently it happened just after the launch of the X5(R) camera's. I'm almost sure to recall the very first batch of I1 PRO's still had the V1 motors.

During the many years I worked in computer hardware industry we had different suppliers for almost all components. If one supplier failed to meet our purchasing requirements, we switched to another and made the customer believe he had a new upgraded version with the 'newer' components. Simply marketing.

Thanks Bruno and Lake Flyer for the quick replies.
I went ahead and bought a used Inspire 1 Pro from Adorama. Should have it in a week.
I'll have plenty of more questions then...!
