Inspire 2 Pro already?!

one would have thought the fact that the Inspire 2 is still in very early production with people still trying to order and receive them; that they would be very silly to upgrade it already - these units are professional units, and DJI would face the possibility of alienating the professional drone operator, which would be fatal for them. If the professional user doesn't feel supported by the manufacturer they will look elsewhere, and there are some interesting options coming out if you look around

What options are you referring to? I've played with Power vision and Yuneec drones and they don't come close to the quality that DJI has.

I was thinking more high end than Yuneec, I've been looking at specialist uav systems from 10k-40k from companies who answer their phones, email responses within minutes and have stock of all parts available and can ship within a few days and keep spares for backups. Its on DJI that seems to have issues! If Im not working for 4-5 weeks a year before of drone issues, my saving have been eaten up and i might as well look at high end options.

Thats quite the investment. You will need to have some pretty high end clients lined up to make that worth your while. I have friends who fly FreeFly and other heavy lift systems and they are great if you're flying Reds and Arri cameras but that only makes sense if you have clients willing to pay a day rate of $2500- $5000

Also, I don't think any other drone company can compare to DJI's support. Have you ever worked with Yuneec. God Awful. No other drone company provides their customers with insurance (DJI Care)

While I think it's a possibility, I would also say it's a long shot. DJI have established that they don't have any problems killing off a recent introduction (P4) but, seeing how some parts of a potential I2 package still aren't shipping yet I think it's more than even they would try. If they plan a big launch we will know shortly.

They had no qualms doing it with the Inspire Raw as ive found...Sadly

Im building my next one this rate lol,

And they will find it hard to push into FPV racing , everyone knows enough to DIY everything and not go for the easy to use higher price tag .

New Matrice maybe? Too early for an Inspire 2 V.2 --- or is it? :D

I was thinking that exact same thing. The Freefly Alta is kicking their @$$ in the high end platform that can legitimately carry a Red. Where they lose big to Freefly is the ability to top mount the rig. If I had to guess, the Matrice will be introducing an Octo, like the S1000 but with top mount capability. If they dump that bird onto that market, at a reasonable price... Freefly is out of business.

You might be right. The S1000 is long in the tooth now as the battery is not of the intelligent type they seem to like in all models since then. Any yeah, if they do it right it could be tough for Freefly if DJI provides the ability to use the autonomous apps like Litchi or Autopilot or their own auto-flying app.

p5? timing is about right if they stick to march / april release schedule. similiar to i2 but not quite.Photo Feb 23, 11 16 01 AM.jpg

I'll be tuning in Monday that's for sure!
