Measure distance works for me on the Maps website.

Right-click your initial point and select 'Measure Distance', then right-click your target and click 'Distance to Here'

It seems to work on any Google Map.

    Measure & calculate distance
You can measure the distance between two or more points on the map using Google Maps. For example, you can measure the distance between two cities.

    Measure the distance between points
    1. OpenGoogle Maps.
    2. Go to the search box and click [IMG]. That will clear the map.
    3. Right-click on your starting point.
    4. ClickMeasure distance.
    5. Click anywhere on the map to create a path you want to measure. Click to add additional measuring points.
    6. [Optional] Drag a point to move it, or click a point to remove it.
    7. Look under the search box for the total distance in both miles (mi) and kilometers (km).
When done, go to the card below the search box and click the[IMG]. Or right-click on the map and select Clear measurement.
