A newbie to video editing. I have imported my video clips to edit. I have placed a clip on the timeline that I want to edit. I double click to open up the multiple cuts. As I run the clip I have a video showing and a scrolling ribbon. When I get to the spot where I want to make my cut I pause the video, but it always moves forward. It's as if the video always lags behind the ribbon. Surely this is not the way it is supposed to work and I am doing something wrong. If anyone would be kind enough to point out my stupidity, I would be eternally grateful.
