@blade strike - I was just looking at your photos over on RCGroups where you have posted pics of 3D printed supports for trackers but I was intrigued by the quick release prop attachments you guys have been testing....

It looks like the mod screws into the existing two holes on the Inspire motors but does the top hub attachment alter the prop thread? It looks like it slips over the existing thread and makes the bore thicker?

Not that easy to see from the pic but would be interested to know exactly how these work (not the mechanics of pushing down and rotating the prop to get it off... I get that bit) but rather the mod to the motor and how it alters the thread.

So we all need to get different threaded balancing shafts now after this mod to use our Do-Bro's???

    Thanks.

Correct, the bore on the QR props are 5mm, The new props slide over the treads on the motor. Besides attaching the quick release adaptor to the motor, nothing else is required. I have found that a t-rex 450 heli shaft works perfect as a prop balancer for the new QR props.

Can the new CF props be sanded for balancing purposes as easily as the plastic props, or do they get all gnarly?

I don't sand my props, just add tape. These are better balanced than the spin-on type.

Thanks, Blade! It's a challenge at best to find things on RCG if you've let a few days go passed.

Couple of questions, if I may:

Have you noticed any change in performance with the CF props?

What kind of wrench (Allen?) is used to attach the adaptors? (I have some on order)

They are not CF props, they're CF reinforced. Just like the other inspire props.

I think $10 for a pair and $5 for a pair of adapters. Half the price as the spin on

You would have to check with the DJI store. We are not dealers. Just forum support.
