FET is basically a tap for current flow, allows you to control exactly how much passes though it.

that will be very difficult because the program for communication is unknown... but to rearchitect - rebuild /plan the pcb would surley be a step forward. if R/D at dji would think about considering and give benefits to the ones that planned it better than dji itself would show gratitude i think. not to mention the credit that should be mentioned for the ones that ha e put in money and energy to improve the product.

We need some hackers to find out this com program , but you are absolutely right, time and many are the name of the game.

I am giving a break about the project;

Reasons;

- Ran out of donour batteries
- The smart circuit is not designed for connecting and removing all the time. You will see what I mean if you reach the point I am at now.
- There is an another battery design rumour going around assembled with 18650 cells, it will fail also, they will come to a dead end or already came. By the way it is not possible with 18650 cells, they do not have suitable C rates and voltage is way lower than a LiHV; available capacity today technology per cell is max. 3400mAh so 6s2p config will be 6800mAh weight will be nearly the same as original. Not logical to go that path.
- TB48 is being sold at USD290 in my country, I do not find it logical to franken a new battery.
- The battery needs to be user friendly, modifications I am planning is not. Why waste time on something not useful...
- Before you ask, it is not about the budget. I just need some time to think about creating something more effective and useful.

Regards.

Where did you purchase that landing mode case with the propellers installed, I would like to buy one, do you have a website or part number?

Hover flight yesterday. Running into a DJI battery PCB limitation to fly longer. I think I may have a solution though. Possibly. Stay tuned.

Tell me more about the setup, is this with dual TP HV 3500mah or single 7000mah. I just ordered a custom battery from MaxAmps 5550mah in a pyramid configuration that I'm going to try. I made it 20,000 feet one way on my 3700mah auxiliary battery before losing signal and for the first time I experienced a disconnect issue on the way back then it reconnected, the second time I had no connection zero information on my screen I was line of sight and had full control though, so have to look into the USB cable possibly and find out what happened. I also just ordered FPVLR air side signal booster for the Inspire 1, I'll post pictures and results when I receive it and figure out how to install it.

round two :) PCB porn part two. ESC - as much as I could put it under the microscope as I did not want to solder off the PCB - sorry for that, hope the pics are ok though.
let me know.
cheers .

this are the first 10 of the lower side (heat sink) side. going from left top to left bottom then moving right and going up again.

Working on a new board which are the limiting factor as 4 chips are rated at 4500 and 5700. In order for app and craft to register higher mah host batteries using an empty cage with larger lipo units these 4 chips have to be changed. Hoping the new board will have better quality and will work. It might be a week or so until completed. Until then the only solution is to hack the board and change these chips which will not solve the quality issues !

Hey Rich, I do. I'll probably never run out of stuff to test but for right now those TP 2700's are really a great addition, super high quality and you'll love them.
HI Damon, I just finished up the battery mod this evening and it's a bit twitchy flying and I played with the gains a bit and seemed to get a little better but was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing your numbers with the tp2700's? Also once in the air the gear won't raise with the extra batteries attached. Gear raises just fine without them attached to the frame..any thoughts on this?

Can you show a pic of your setup?
