Hi everyone,

customers of ours who previously purchased footage of Bali are looking for footage of the below destinations. They are a large French TV studio and I'm in direct contact with the person puchasing the footage for their documentaries.

They are looking for footage of the below locations.

- South Africa
- Thailand
- New Zealand
- Northern Canada (Yukon)
- Chili
- Greece
- Cuba

I have already reached out to a few of you individually, but casting a larger net here to see if anyone else has footage of these locations?

The clients pay roughly $400 USD per segment (they only need 1080p content, but I usually give them the 4K at the same price).

Anyone interested, please send me a note at [email protected]

Cheers

Patrice

Wow, thanks a lot for your support guys. We have received some extraordinary footage from Greece, more specifically the historical site of Meteora which is truly breathtaking.

Big thanks to Max Seigal for sending those in. Have a look at his work here: Search - greece

For all others who submitted some clips but were unfortunately declined, not to worry. Keep on practicing and perhaps your next segments will make it to the site.

We are still looking for footage of the destinations mentioned above. The client sends its own crew to the locations to film and then supplement with content from our library. Therefore, the more content we have, the more chances we have of selling to them. So keep the clips coming.

Anyone with real good quality footage of the above and would be interested in selling, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]

Great opportunity for everyone to showcase their work and make some extra money.

Cheers

Patrice

This is like the golf course app scam on the other thread wtf man !!!

Give me all your footage and "maybe" I'll sell it - effin ********

Stop Spamming this Website !!!, what do you NOT understand?
Sick of it! http://www.inspirepilots.com/search/1926938/
Tone it down a notch please. I am now an approved vendor of this site and simply offering an opportunity for people who want to showcase their material and possibly make some money from it.

If you don't have any interest in selling your footage, that is fine. However, there are thousands of people out there who are talented aerial cinematographers and looking for a window to showcase their work. That is what we do and we are happy to showcase some of it on this forum as well.

We have clients looking for specific footage and am reaching out to the aerial community.

Cheers

@pgaucher. You are grossly misleading in your quoted post. Its a slimly disguised unpaid advert. You are not just "SIMPLY offering an opportunity for people who want to showcase their material", you do it because you sell it and make money from it. (my emphasis). Nothing wrong with promoting your business, however I suggest you be ethical in how you do it. Your own reputation is at risk. You are indeed offering a commercial service and even as an advertiser (elsewhere on this site, in defined elevated positions) it should be in the classified forum or stick to your ads. Just because you are paid advertiser should not give you the right to post for free your service in any subforum you like.

The rest of us cannot...and would get slapped for doing that.

If I told you NO MONEY was being made, would that change your point of view?

If you go to the site, you will very clearly see that 50% of all proceeds (the portion we get) actually goes to a well known charity. This whole site was built out of passion for the world of aerial cinematography, with the intent of doing something good. Seems like no one actually took the time to go to the website and look at what we do. Instead, people are using the opportunity to criticize.

Let me make this statement very clearly: this site was built for content creators and artistic aerial cinematographers. If anyone on this site can make money from this venture, it is the content creators, and I am happy about that. As for me, I want to use this project to donate money to a good cause. The other 50% is used to cover the infrastructure costs.

Does this make sense economically for me you will ask ? Absolutely not, but that is what happens sometimes when projects are driven from passion rather than a desire for profit.

Go to the site, look at what we do and look at the charity we are supporting, then come to your own conclusions. I am more than comfortable with my personal and professional reputation, knowing that what we do can be a driver of change for people in need.

Cheers

You're running a business, dealing with businesses and making money out of it, what you do with it i.e. whether you keep it or donate it towards an unrelated goal is your own personal choice and is irrelevant to the operation. You're offering a paid-for service and people are apparently happy to pay you for it, so you run under the "commercial" rules like anyone else.

For "no money" to be made you yould need to be running as a nonprofit, and not take any commission beyond what's needed to cover the real costs of running the platform, and any excess would have to be dedicated to the same cause i.e. improving the platform, giving it back to your contributors or offering related help.

Patrice,

It is the way you are marketing your company on this forum rather than the fact you ARE marketing your company. As an approved vendor that's fine but please don't dress it up as "Hey some great Inspire shots here guys" and then post a link to YOUR website - this is disguised advertising which will only serve to aggravate people.
You started your company and posted up on the forum whilst it was being built up and in its infancy but all the time telling people your 'Website will be live soon' etc - That was all pre-marketing to get an interest in your business.
People are not stupid and they can see this, and obviously, judging by many of the comments from numerous forum members they have felt compelled to put fingers to keyboards and express their dislike of this type of 'underhand' advertising.

If what you have been doing is truly innocent and this post has come as a complete surprise to you then I apologize and maybe you can learn that these types of 'plants' and 'redirects' do not enamour people to your business.
If, on the other hand this has been a deliberate attempt to market through subterfuge perhaps you should rethink your marketing strategy as it very rapidly falls out of favor with people.

I have now moved this thread to Classifieds

Thank You

Hi there, thanks for your note. Listen, we are all smart people here and I won't act like this is coming out of nowhere. I understand your point, but at the same time I can't possibly redirect to Vimeo because everything is hosted on our servers. I want to recognise people who make our site a reality, and that can only be done by sending a link to our site. If you have suggestions on how to adopt a more politically correct approach, I'm certainly open.

Keep in mind we are not selling anything to people on this forum. All other advertisers are selling their products to forum users. There is nothing wrong with that of course, but we are targeting customers who lie totally outside this forum. If this is coming across any other way, then I do apologise, but our end game is to make everyone on this forum benefit from our services, not the other way around.

We are spending $1000 USD/month on advertising on this forum, and our end game is not to sell anything to forum members. Not sure everyone is getting this.

What we want is to build a compelling database of exotic aerial content that becomes the go to place for any high end aerial stock footage needs. To do that we need content, a lot of it. So the next 6 months will be focused on building the content database after which we start prospecting for customers like crazy.

So again I won't act like this is an accidental positioning, but in the end, we are not targeting forum members as customers, but rather as potential partners in order to build something different, that is compelling and defies the current stock footage business practices. We are fortunate to have the early support of some very talented aerial cinematographers, and we look forward to welcoming more people to our family of content creators.

I am open to suggestions anyone may have on how to spread the word, all while remaining sensitive to the comments posted previously.

Cheers

Patrice

Hi Patrice,

Thanks for your clarification. Obviously this is a symbiotic relationship and the more content you get, the more products you have on your shelves for potential customers to 'add to basket'

I do not want to make a bigger thing out of this so I respect you taking the time to address the issues some members have and would be appreciative in future if your posts do not have (or seem to have) a hidden agenda.

So as this doesn't explode into a slanging match - guys, can I please ask we leave it at this? The point has been made, Patrice has acknowledged the fact and apologized so can we please draw a line under the matter and call it a day?

Thanks for everybody's understanding.
