Differences exporting as Prores 422HQ or .DNG

    Hi

    just wondering if anyone is getting the same results as me. I find that if I make some adjustments in Cinelight and then export as ProRes 422HQ with those adjustments saved I get far better results over exporting as .dng sequence when doing my final edits and grading in Premiere Pro CC.

    The downside to this is exporting out as ProRes 422HQ takes my 27" 5K iMac about 50 minutes to export a 45-60 second clip as a .MOV file. So if I've been out and shot a dozen clips to make a nice 2-3 minute movie then doing it this way take a long time over just exporting out .dng's which takes minutes only

    In general I get a much sharper and cleaner result

    You should be able to achieve in Premiere Pro's Lumetri color panel what Cinelight does.

    Have you tried grading the DNGs with Adobe Camera Raw in After Effects?

    Hi. No I've not tried that workflow yet myself. Can you tell me how the process of doing it in After Effects after I have exported the .dng's from Cinelight and then how do I get it all back in Premiere Pro??
