Gimbal not rolling properly to compensate for AC

Bought my I1 lightly used. It worked great initially. Sometime after updating to FW 1.8, the gimbal won't roll at the same rate as the AC which leads to bad video. First dozen or so times setting it up had me with a mental block to turn AC off before connecting gimbal. Could this have done it or is it something else?

I assume you do not have it in FPV mode?
