Hey guys - brand new to the community, and love reading through these posts. It's extremely helpful. Long story short -- I've been a whiskey collector for the past few years... Christmas 2015, my wife surprised me with a Phantom 3 Standard, and 3 months later, I've sold a huge portion of my whiskey collection to fund the purchase of an Inspire 1 Pro!

Ordered my Inspire 1 Pro on 3/15/16 from B&H, and it arrived a few days later. I successfully updated the RC and Inspire, but had absolutely 0 image transmission success between the Inspire and my iPad Mini 2. Connected my iPhone 6, and experienced the same issue. B&H was quick to approve an RMA request, and I received my replacement today.

I was extremely disappointed to unpack the replacement Inspire 1 Pro, to discover that the battery was a complete dud. I tried multiple chargers, and determined that the supplied TB-47 was completely dead. Upon contacting B&H, they asked me to return the entire package - it took a 45 minute argument to convince them that it was ok to only return the battery. It will be at least a week before they are able to supply a replacement.

Do you guys have any advice for potential counselors that can help me navigate this particularly difficult time in my life? (joking)

On a serious note, do any of you have advice for a solid "Image Transmission Signal" between the Inspire and the iPad Mini 2? I've purchased a TB-48 locally, and am experiencing the same transmission issues with this new Inspire 1 Pro. I've fiddled with the hardware decoding option, and all possible channels.

Aside from these frustrating circumstances, I'm extremely excited about the possibilities with my new drone. I literally feel more excited about this, than I did on the first day that got my first vehicle. Appreciate any ideas, and grace on this post.

When they want the whole bird, I know waiting sucks, but it is in your best interest to send the whole thing back. The image signal issue is just a good example of why. If the battery was bunk, you do not know if t did something to your inspire in the time you tried it. Did you check your serial numbers? Did they send you then same inspire only "fixed" or did you get a new one? I hope you find an answer to your current issue.

If you have in fact were successful in updating the firmware on both RC and aircraft, which IMHO may not have been entirely necessary, or in your best interest, but aside from that, some have found it necessary to then remove the GO App from your device ( IPad) entirely, and then reinstall the latest version to now work best with your latest firmware upgrades.
All the best, and hopefully all will work as it should. : )

Thanks for the input fellas - really appreciate your time!

I did check the serial numbers, and this Inspire is not the same one that I had returned. I'm in the process of wiping the iPad of all other applications, and installing only the DJI Go app, to see if that helps.

Flew around today on the iPhone for about 20 minutes, and I feel like it's 1996 and I just unwrapped my first Nintendo 64. The Inspire 1 Pro makes my Phantom 3 Standard feel completely obsolete!

Thanks again for the advice.... Super appreciative!

This might be a silly question, and I'm sorry if it comes off as facetious...but your video downlink is set to AUTO, correct?

I've purchased several quad packages from suppliers across the country...also from DJI directly. What I've realized is that the support and response you get from these folks is what is most important...they are all priced competitively.

Ralph Rigdon at FLYHIGH USA in Kentucky is friggin' amazing. He knows his stuff and will personally get back to you via phone. He won't let things go until things are right. He does talk funny (Kentucky)...but I won't purchase anywhere else.

Even if I have a question that is unrelated to my purchase, I call Ralph. He is a Gem.

He sounds normal to me. Maybe its you that talks funny :p

Ralph is a good guy, and you typically do not find good guys like Ralph in the business.

You are correct...just kidding (obviously) about the southern accent. I could not agree more about not finding guys like Ralph in this business.
