Good day fine forum folks!
Spent days googling and forum searching, haven't found a suitable solution - I hope another blasted firmware thread doesn't trigger too much grief!
Recently rebuilt an old crashed Inspire (X3 Camera) that was laying around at work; lathed out new landing gear axles, straightened the corkscrew spindle, glued together a broken arm with a new piece of carbon fibre. All that labour has paid off with a nice and shiny, relatively unused quadcopter...
After pulling out a TX from the inventory, notified through app that the firmware on the craft (V01.05.00.30) doesn't match the TX (V01.05.0080) I've opened up a whole good few days of angst in a can.
No matter how many different SD cards I've tried, different PCs, SD formatters, formatting via DJI app, even an android tablets SD port, the aircraft won't update. I can bind and control its travel mode, camera pan/tilt, video feed etc, nevertheless as soon as I try arm the motors - "FIRMWARE INCOMPATIBLE" or somesuch pops up. All the bird does is beep a few times on startup - then "DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD" tone is my reward after attempting upgrade.
I've now been playing with downgrading the TX down past (V01.05.0080) through spoofing the .bin filename in the DJI app download folder, swapping it out with an older firmware file and then attempting update but that fails too...
Any further tips before I rip out the brains on this thing, swap in a PIXHAWK? The Phantom I flew recently was so silky smooth, would be a treat to try out this Inspire at last.
Appreciate any guidance whatsoever.
