iPhone 7+ shows DISCONNECTED Inspire 2 RC

Just picked up Inspire 2 (Opened Box) from an authorized dealer... brought it home and cannot get the remote (RC) to see my iPhone 7+. I am able to connect using my wife's iPad but the whole reason I got the 7+ was so that I could use it with an Inspire 2. So bummed!!! I've un-installed the DJI Go4 app and also tried it in Airplane mode. I also swapped out 3 used and 1 new lighting cables and still nothing!

Good News! Just noticed a new upgrade was available from Apple. Not sure if it was the actual upgrade or the upgrade process (jarring my phone's OS) but for the first time my 7+ established communication with the RC!
