New Lightbridge antenna system....video inside....

I am running the DBS antenna by itself and am really impressed with it!
My buddy has stock antenna setup (for now) and we made some comparisons.
I can pretty much take my i1 right down to the deck anywhere within a mile on relatively flat ground and have full signal while the stock setup would lose signal under 100 feet.
I could fly behind buildings with some signal loss and the stock setup would lose signal completely almost instantly after line of sight was lost.
The difference is quite amazing over the stock setup and for $109 is some of the best money I have spent on this hobby in a long time!
Same here.
I had both tx's modded
Had a slight issue that DBS handled awesomely
This upgrade makes my 2nd tx work, which didn't since the fw upgrade that took channels from us.
I get awesome signal, i1 can be facing any direction at almost any LOS range and signal is strong and latency seems minimal.
I am very happy with the whole process.
I modded the factory case to hold the antennas as well, disconnected.

can you maybe post some pics? i am interested and looking into a mod for both rc's since i often fly over and behind trees (meaning the i1 above and away still LOS though but trees between me and the bird)
the mod is also doable for me at home if i am not two lefthanded right? i think i have seen also a tutorial how to...
thank you.

I had the mods done by DBS
packed both tx's up in a box with protection, shipped 2day on a Tuesday morning and had them back on Friday afternoon (i paid overnight shipping back)
Mine look just like the picture on his site, except I picked up the upgraded cables from eBay (link earlier in this thread)
I just cut foam out of the lid of the case and store one over the spare batteries and the other over the camera case

i live in europe... so teh option over night and back would be very cost intense... but i think i could do it keeping in mind the video i saw...

So I had DBS Mods install the antenna and I got the RC back about 2 weeks ago, but today was really the first time I was able to test it out... But I never got past my pre-flight check as something seemed odd.

So quick follow up on this one - I sent the remote back to DBSMods and they noticed it was damaged during shipping. When they cracked the remote open, a bunch of wires got disconnected and part of the actual RC case was slightly damaged. Not sure how any of this happened as we both packed it extremely well with a ton of foam and such.

Anyways, they fixed it, sent it back and all is working :)
