motor stiff

I'm gone take the motor with esc attached and give my local hobbyist your instructions.
I ordered a replacement but I wanted to see if this 1 can be repaired.
Thanks for the guidance.
No worries - hope it gets sorted quickly and you're back up in the air. :)

The copper bushing or washer its named i believed was worn. Bearings looked good.
Reassembled without the washer no more tention in motor now. Started up motors no warning taking her out for test hover now.
Do you mean the washer under the e-clip on the motor shaft?
That's the thrust washer. Was that worn and causing binding of the motor?

Yes Sr.
I flew it motor didn't get hot no whistle sound.
So can i fly with it for now or wait for the motor?
Again I didn't replace the thrust washer
You can fly without the thrust washer (some Inspires are not even fitted with them) but............ Keep a very close eye on that motor (keep doing what you are doing and keep watching the temp when you land or listen out for any difference in noise etc).
I am not absolutely convinced that it will not come back - I think what you may have done is disturbed the ball bearings in the race (in a good way) and moved them away from the flats on the balls. I think after a flight or two the problem will return.
As you have another motor coming it shouldn't be too much of an issue though since you will be swapping it out.
