128gb card for for the cam? I thought it can only take upto 64gb?

No, 128GB works great. Been using them exclusively for over a month.

Some folks prefer smaller cards to lessen the risk of loss of footage in case the Inspire is destroyed or lost at sea, but I prefer to shoot a full days' 4K footage (up to 4.5 hours of 4K) without having to swap cards. And I have confidence in the bird :)

I really wanted a Gun Metal Grey but if I ever lost it I wanted to be able to spot it easy.

Duracoat is a two part paint that cures hard. It's meant for firearms and adheres to metal and plastic. They do sell a version that comes with a compressed air can to apply it. I personally just used my airbrush.

As far as taking it apart I was able to do it without looking anything up online. I used a heat gun to remove the bottom trim piece. One note is the ribbon cables have a release clip unlike the phantom cables.

The bottom ultrasonic sensor/ camera should cable should be released from the frame not the sensor. It's easy enough to get the sensor off but near impossible to plug back in that way.

Thanks Benji for taking time to offer a detailed
description of the body removal. Once again ..... that is one impressive Inspire.

isnt the green blending into the envirorment since its a natural color?
i would go some bright orange but rather more redish but fluorecent like... red is always visible... that is why i do not understand why the red lights are in the front instead on the back... in the bright blue sky i can not see the green ones... how about you guys.

Supernova Lights..

Are these daylight visible? I was at FLYSAFE Atlanta last month (which by the way was definitely worth the time and money) and one of the attendees had his hex with him and he was rocking daylight visible LED's. I wish I had gotten more details from him. Sometimes I lose visual contact with even a quick glance down at the screen. Every little bit helps.

Finally decided to paint mine. I used Plasti Dip Blaze Blue. Still need to do the batteries but I need to get another can of PD first.

For the battery I am testing two different type of paint, one on the left is Flexi dip and on the right is Plasti dip, the bird is all Flexi dip. There is a slight color difference but since the battery will be highly used and touched I want to test howView attachment 1028 each of the paint holds up, I left the lights painted, you can see the lights outline and I think it looks cool....
Hi. I ordered a couple cans of orange blaze. Any special surface preparation to the shiny white plastic on the inspire? Or any other tips you might have to add for a successful application.
Thanks. Dennis
