who's next?... Firmware V01.0.330 released

yes it's instable, some functions disappear with updates...

If you ask nothing you will have nothing.

may I ask which of your functions disappeared? As for mine nothing really has changed - I was able to to do a quick 20 minute test and then was able to do 2 full days of filming for a projects.

really never got to use those since we have a 2 man op on our sets......I guess that would be annoying if it were used on a daily basis and it vanished. I really have never tried it out myself, I will check later today after filming onset.

just upgraded and did a quick test flight with I2-X5S Oly 14-42mm lens. All seemed good.

Are people doing IMU calibrations after fw updates with the I2? I think DJI only recommends to do it if it prompts you with the newer drones. Curious what others have been doing.

I NEVER do an IMU calibration after firmware update, I find no need to do one unless the drone requests it. Same with Compass calibration. I see people calibration their drones each time they go fly even if they are always flying from the same location.. Then they wounder why they always have issues.

Agree for I2. Looks like technology has really progressed.
For the I1 and older P3 drones, it was a good precaution. Many had issues NOT doing the IMU and compass calibration.

The little fpv camera that didn't go fully full screen to begin with? Or full screen camera view? I remember reading there's a one and two finger option to be set in the go app for full screen swiping. Maybe check that.

We can't have follow pan and free tilt from slave remote. It's very useful and powerful to achieve "special mastershot"

All is not negative on this Inspir 2.
I must admit that Dji was particularly smart by proposing 50P in Narrow mode which allows to avoid the rolling shutter ;-) (when you crop in sensor you have more rolling shutter but if you shoot in 50P you avoid it)

I haven't been able to update yet but can someone answer these questions. This pertains to dual operators only on the gimbal remote screen.

1. Can you completely remove the FPV screen from the gimbal remote screen?
2. Can you stop warnings from showing up on the gimbal remote screen? Would be nice if they disappeared or could be disabled on the pilot remote as well. It's so annoying to get the "gimbal wheel locked" and "high winds" warnings showing up over and over again and having to constantly click them off.

You can always try to revert to older firmware, or you can just fly the I2. I have flown many times with warnings about an update.

okay, I had some luck this weekend with this. I did the revet to version .240 that was available in DJI assistant. I didn't have version .240 installed before my upgrade to .330. I had indicated I had originally .240 as thats what DJI was showing me I could revert to and I assume that was my original installed version but I was wrong, I had what ever the version number was prior to .240, I didn't do any upgrades to my I2 prior to this one.

But to the main point... I reverted back with DJI assistant to .240 as that was the only revert version listed. the I2 did the things that others complained about with the gimbal etc, so I upgraded back to .330 and the inconsistent firmware messages went away! flew three pairs of battery and not once did I get the message after the downgrade/upgrade I did.

the flights went very well, and it flew very nice! I didn't use any of the more advanced features others have commented on as missing or changed, so I can only say it flew great for me once I got past the issue. Not sure why this worked, but maybe skipping the .240 firmware was my issue, or maybe the refresh was not a real refresh and missed something that was present in the .240? either way - not a complex fix, and very happy it worked.

Thanks SanCap for sticking it out with me not this issue and advising that a downgrade was safe - I think that was the step that fixed my issue!

Updated my I2 to .0330 yesterday via Dji Go 4.07 from original firmware (I skipped .0240). "Inconsistance firmware ..." pop up twice at the beginning of the aircraft update. "Check data cable connection" pop up twice in the middle of the process. The second pop up asked to remove and reconnect the lightning cable.

The process updated everything including the battery firmware.

"Update completed" at the end including rc.

Test flying today without IMU nor Compass calibration with 2 sets of battery, 20 minutes each, no issue.

I'll admit to being a cranky old cuss, but boy do these firmware updates ever piss me off. I was trying to upgrade to 330 this evening, but gave up after 35 min and only being up to 36% on the download. What developers fail to understand is that some of us live in third-world countries (Kansas) that only have 1Mbps DSL (that is actually about 300Kbps on a good day) and simply cannot deal with these huge-*** updates. Bah, going to bed now. Will have to try with a fresh set of batteries tomorrow and see what stuff that used to work no longer does once DJI gets their update on my bird.

I believe you can swipe to go full camera screen on the slave controller. All the warnings show up and I have found no way to remove them on either screen.

I regret first time I did IMU calibration after .240 update as all was good before. Since IMU warnings has been here. Now it is fifth calibration attempt in progress and I got bird first time air without warnings. It has been annoying that indoors on steady table calibration has been solid and after reboot all is good. Then in the field it complains about the IMU. For the compass I had to do calibration twice. After first one copter made very slow yaw movement all the time. It was perhaps a degree or so in a minute but continued until I did new compass calibration.
Thumb rule seems to apply here: If it works, don't repair it.
